Kathy Kanda has been an associate of the
firm practicing special district law since 2003, though her relationship with the firm began in 2001 as a summer
clerk. Before attending law school, Kathy worked for the State of Colorado
bringing to her practice extensive knowledge about and experience in governmental
affairs, public policy, community relations and project management. Kathy was included in the 2010 Colorado Super Lawyers list of Rising Stars. Kathy
is also the firm’s in-house yoga instructor.

Kathy practices law in order to fund her passion for fly fishing, which
she has done on four continents. She also enjoys practicing and teaching
yoga, traveling, and sharing good food and playing board games with her
husband, family and friends.
