Megan Becher has
been associated with the firm and practicing special
district law since 2001. She became a shareholder of the firm in 2008.
Notwithstanding this, Megan’s experience with special districts
began in 1996 when she began work as a paralegal in the Houston based
public finance department of an international law firm. In order to be
more directly involved with facilitating the development of communities
and establishing meaningful client relationships, Megan moved from Houston
to Denver in 1998 to attend law school. Megan joined McGeady Sisneros
in 1999 as a law clerk and, since that time, has gained substantial experience
in representing both developer and district clients through organizing special districts, conducting district elections, assuring
statutory compliance, facilitating relationships among public and private
sectors, performing due diligence related to special district matters
in land acquisitions, and facilitating the financing of public infrastructure.
